Magnetic fluid is a colloidal liquid consisting of nano-sized magnetic particles distributed through a liquid body. As the name suggests, magnetic fluid is attracted to magnetic bodies.
Magnetic fluid was originally developed in 1965 by S. S. Papell from NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) as a rocket fuel propulsion technology for weightless environments.
